Hello everyone!

Welcome to another edition of Share Your Style! I'm Kelly from
The Essence of Home  and I am thrilled to be your host this week.

Last Friday, I posted about a fabulous sheet set giveaway and I will announce the winner this Friday. So, if you haven't signed up for it, please do so now!  Click HERE to read all about it.

Super Mommy Club shared  a lot of yummy breakfast casserole recipes that you can make ahead of time.  I think these would be great to do for the upcoming holidays.

Just 2 Sisters showed how to make the cutest ghosts out of milk jugs.  It's a fun craft to do with your kids and use for Halloween night!

House Honeys gave us a tour of Vermont in the Fall.  It is absolutely breathtaking and unlike anything I'll ever hope to see here in Georgia!

I hope that you will stop in and visit these blogs.

If you were featured, please feel free to add this button to your blog!

Ok, now are you ready to share your own inspiration with us all?  Remember that when you share your link here it also shows up on 6 other blogs!

Autumn in Hunterdon County

Maybe it is just because I have always lived in our country's mid-Atlantic region, but I think fall is the most beautiful time of the year. As I try to do each year, today I am sharing with you some of the seasonal beauty which surrounds us here in central New Jersey.

Despite the fact that two major metropolitan areas are in just an hour's time, those being New York City and Philadelphia, Hunterdon County pretty much lies in the heart of horse and farm county.

Hunterdon County was established on March 11, 1714 with it's county seat being that of Flemington, the site of the Lindbergh kidnapping trial.

Hunterdon County is also the home of Elisabeth Gilbert, noted author of the 2006 best seller Eat, Pray, Love.

The last week in October is usually our peak week for autumn foliage to really pop, and the countryside is ablaze with amazing color.

We may have had to deal with some fairly cold winters over the past few years along with nor' easters like Superstorm Sandy. But to be able to bask in the warmth of mid-autumn's sun and have my world wrapped in the golden yellows, fire reds, and cool greens of each fall, makes living here in the mid-Atlantic a true blessing!

Outdoor Halloween Decorating

The other day on my way down to Pennsylvania, I passed some really cool outdoor Halloween displays. This is one that I absolutely had to stop for and snap a picture.

I went ahead and shared it on Rosemary Lane's Facebook page and it received quite the response!

Clever isn't it?
Here is another home in Tewksbury New Jersey. An old Victorian played up perfectly with a goolish front yardscape!

This next home's front porch was decked out for Halloween in 2012.

So it got me thinking and I decided to search the Net for other really fabulous Outdoor Halloween Decorating ideas. Here is some of what I found.
(sources referenced when possible)

You can never have too many pumpkins!!!

Love the picket fence and the witch in the doorway!

This last pic just made me laugh!

Have a great week!

Orange & Black Never Looked Better Halloween Mantel

Using some simple black and orange decorations, but keeping the mercury glass from my fall mantel, I created a bewitching mantel display for Halloween!

The fabulous Halloween wreath was a post season clearance item at Pier One a few years back. I just love the how white background contrasts so beautifully with the classic black and orange of the wreath.

Using a few black bound books to keep with the color scheme, it was easy to give the display some interest by varying the heights of the crows and pumpkins.

Gosh don't you just LOVE Halloween???

Share Your Style Link Party #36

We are delighted you are here today for the 36th Share Your Style party.  Your host today is me, Lynn, of The Vintage Nest blog.  I loved going through all last week's fabulous posts and found it very, very hard to pick just a few for featuring  this week.  You all are so generous with your time, recipes, tutorials, DIY's, and so much more.  The weather here in Virginia has been picture perfect this past week.  I took my Mom on an outing Sunday and took so many photos of the happenings around our area.  Here is one that I would like to share with you.  To me it just epitomizes the season.

Now on to the party.   Remember when you share on our party, you will be on seven (7) different blogs and if you are featured please take the special badge for your blog.  And please remember to link back somewhere on your blog post.  Now.....don't be shy.  Please don't  link and run.  Go visit some of the other partiers.  :)
Enjoy

Paige of A Junk Chick Life participates in a $10.00 Yard Sale challenge.  Look what she bought with only a small portion of the money.  Just shows you decorating on a budget can easily be done....along with a great imagination.  I love this!  So simple and elegant.

I have made the velvet pumpkins and love doing it and always wanted to make some of the cute little velvet acorns I see but I don't have much patience with little tiny items.  And then I saw this!  Angelina of Peonies and Orange Blossoms shows us such a simple and sweet way to make them.  Yep....gonna do it!

I just had to feature a  yummy recipe ..... what with football season here and we are all looking for delicious quick appetizers for tailgating and home viewing.  Walking on Sunshine shares this Warm Bacon-Cheese Dip.  I am thinking just perfect for the Thanksgiving football games.
:)

And finally, I wanted to show you Michelle's beautifully decorated dining area for her home tour.  Gorgeous country charm here!  Thank You Dandelion Patina for sharing.

Now let's see what you are sharing this week.  Cannot wait!
