Love your patio!Jason Rolandhttp://www.liftyourconcrete.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3765366916959264577.post-85786920176405031862014-09-14T09:35:18.085-04:002014-09-14T09:35:18.085-04:00I love this! We are on the verge of doing our back patio and have been struggling over which direction to take regarding colors and patterns. We think we might try this and want to start today. Thanks for giving your exact paint colors and where to purchase!!!

"Anonymous" brings up my biggest issue with the project. LOL You can't paint a straight line on porous, sidewalk-type concrete. (At least I can't with bad eyesight and a shaky hand.) I also found my concrete slab had no perfect right angles and threw everything off. When lines were painted I discovered even the pillars on each side of the door were crooked and we had no idea! HA Masking tape is about the only way to go, really, but your paint will bleed under the masking tape. This is fine and no one will notice...unless you are MONK. LOL!

My project would have gone from 2 months to 2 days had I been able to find narrow masking tape. 3/8" tape was too wide and didn't seem natural to me. But that was brick and I think it will look fine with your tile pattern. I believe since I finished my project I saw narrower tape and I'm racking my brain to remember where I saw it. I think it was Wal-mart. People have also been known to use pin stripes for painting cars.

One thing is for sure, once you see everyone's projects online, you can't bear to look at your old bare concrete anymore! LOL Even if you mess up and don't like what you did, you can just paint over everything with one color and it will be a big improvement!

I have a lot more to say on this wonderful new hobby, particularly how to fix messed up lines, but I've probably bored you by now. ;-) Thanks, Barbara!

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/394346511095940827/
http://michellefontaine.com/painted-concrete-projects/
Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08996621192609190082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3765366916959264577.post-79809554496306018472014-05-04T18:12:10.927-04:002014-05-04T18:12:10.927-04:00I love this!
