Well we have been here for a little over 24 hours and OMGosh...what an ah-mazing place it is here in the French Quarter of New Orleans! I was told I may go a little photo crazy and let me tell you that was by all means No understatement!!
Just take a peak...
This is the Cathedral-Basilica of St Louis King of France. We attended mass here last evening and it was simply beautiful!
After mass we hung out in the cathedral area listening to street performers and enjoying our first authentic Louisiana meal.
This district of New Orleans is a Mecca for the artistic. No matter what the gig...showmen, painters, singers and tap dancers..it is here for your enjoyment 24/7!
Kim and I oohed and ahhed over the beautiful cobblestone courtyards and the gorgeous balconies surrounded with wrought iron, which makes up most of the French Quarter.
It has been pretty warm and humid here over the last 24 hours, but despite the weather Kim and I have been captivated by what we have seen so far. We cannot wait to begin to explore other sites of this historic place!

You are going to have a ball. I have been there 2 times and had the time of my life. I don't think I missed anything. Loved the Flower District (think that's what its called) on the other side of Canal Street. I also took a tour to the plantations which was something to see. The food was outstanding.
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best time ever.
