Bucks County Designer House ~ Foxwood Manor

Each year since 1975, there has been a Bucks County Designer House event to benefit Doylestown Hospital. Past Designer House homes I've shared with you have been Spring Valley Farm, The Clement Doyle House and Serendipity Farm.  Over the holiday weekend I made the trip down to PA to check out this year's fabulous designer house with my sister Kim and best girlfriend for many many moons, Christina. And there they are now...Hey ladies!!!

The designer house we toured is the historic Foxwood Manor in Jamison Pennsylvania. This gorgeous home dates back to the colonial times with a one Benjamin Hamilton listed as its first known owner.

The first building we encountered is the smokehouse which was constructed sometime during the 1830's. I love the cool etching done on the steps leading up to this quaint little building.

Inside the smoke house were so many beautiful items for sale.

Then it was onto the main building. Unfortunately photography was not allowed inside but I have to tell you that all the interiors were done beautifully!

The pool in the back of the property along with the surrounding gardens were simply breathtaking.

At the far end of the pool was a beautiful pool house complete with a fireplace, pool table and bar area, Outside was a front porch large enough to entertain a party of 20.

There was a cute little bar area on the front porch complete with a darling bar cart.

Looking back at Foxwood Manor from the pool house.

I hope you enjoyed this mini tour of the garden and pool area of the 2016 Bucks County Designer House. Now that the tours have officially ended I may be able to find a few pics of the interior on the internet to hopefully share with you at a later time. In the meantime remember to stop by on Wednesday evening for another inspirational Share Your Style link party!

Hope to see you there!
Have a great day!

Share Your Style Link Party #67

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another week of Share Your Style!  I'm so glad that you decided to join us again. I'm Kelly from The Essence of Home and I am your host this week.

Remember when you link up to this party, your post is seen on all five of these blogs at the same time.  So, you get a lot of exposure!

Last week, there were so many great posts linked up.  It was difficult to choose just a few to feature this week.

First up, is Simply Designing.  She shared a delicious recipe for chocolate bundt cake with salted caramel sauce.  It doesn't get any better than that, does it?

Next, Common Ground shared the basics for building a tabletop vignette.  I thought it was so interesting to get a formula that almost guarantees a well balanced vignette.  Sometimes, following a plan is easier than "winging it".

Cabin & Cottage shared her new blue transferware collection.  I love blue and white transferware!  She found some amazing pieces.

And last but definitely not least, was Twelve on Main with her amazing farmhouse laundry room reveal.  Oh my goodness!  It's everything I could ever want in a laundry room and more.  She did an amazing job and has some great money savers mentioned in how she made it all happen.

If you were featured above, please include this button on your blog!

So, now, if you weren't inspired enough already, by those features alone, lets see what everyone is featuring THIS week!

Please include a link back to this party on the post you're sharing.

(And those windmill parts have me starry-eyed!)

Reclaimed Wood and Black Pipe TV Stand

Simple Wine Crate Chandelier

This project for our back porch was so easy and fun to do. I used a simple wine crate I picked up from my local liquor store and then since it is going to be outside, I coated it with a polyurethane.

Four eye hooks were screwed into the four corners of the crate with  "S" links looped through the hooks. Then attached to the links where four equal lengths of chain.

The chains were slipped through the four holes of a floor flange and hooked onto 2 hooks screwed into one of the porch's transverse beams.

Flameless candles with 4 hour timers were added to the inside of the crate and then moved around to create a balance.

I think I may go buy a few more candles!

Easy, Simple and Fun.
Hope you are enjoying a great start to your week!
