Happy New Year ~ New York City

This past Sunday we took the kids up to New York City for our annual Family Day which we typically celebrate earlier in the month. Family Day commemorates the day we left the orphanage in Kazakhstan with Michael and Grace to become our forever family.

The day was December 5, 2005.

We started our visit to the city by seeing the Broadway production of the 1938 play You Can't Take it with You, starring James Earl Jones and Mark Lin Baker.

It was a delightfully funny show that the kids really enjoyed!!!

We walked through Times Square to see where that big old Chrystal Ball will be dropping tonight.

Then it was down pass Radio City Music Hall and NBC studios on to Rockefeller Center...

...to see the Christmas Tree.

After a quick bite at one of the many Irish pubs in NYC, we went back to Times Square. On the way we saw this over the top cool flashing car playing Michael Jackson tunes for all to hear!!!

You just wouldn't believe the crowds in NY this time of the year...it was amazing!!!

The Empire State building all lit up in the colors of Christmas!

And that my friends was our Family day in the Big Apple.

Wishing you all a safe New Year's Eve and the very best to you and yours in 2015!!!

XO
