Halloween Fun with FLIPZ

What a fun time Halloween truly is...no longer just a holiday for kids, now people of all ages get involved and enjoy a festive All Hallows Eve celebration. This year since Halloween falls on a Saturday...yeah...I told my two kiddos that they are allowed to invite a few scary characters over for a little pre-Trick or Treat mingle. So with the help of the folks over at Flipz I created a tasty holiday buffet using their super yummy treats.

One of the little cupcake ideas I had fun creating were these far from frightening skeleton cuppy cakes.

These were really simple to make. Using three white fudge Flipz for the skeletal body, a puffy marshmallow for the skull, and a little edible marker to draw on the face, these Flipz made the most adorable cupcake toppers! For an easy tutorial on how to make these skeletons, just click here,

My kids love any type of candy bark so here I used more of the white fudge Flipz . Just melt down some white chocolate and then spread it onto a jelly roll pan covered with wax paper. Now mash in a bunch of your favorite Halloween candies, cookies and Flipz, and then pop it into the freezer for a few minutes until set. Break into pieces and enjoy some yummy Halloween Bark.

How about a delicious cupcake with some milk chocolate Flipz not only to top off the little cake, but maybe one or two stuck inside for a little surprise crunch? Then drizzle your favorite flavored sauce over the entire cupcake...I made a creamy butterscotch!

4 T butter
1/2 dark brown sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

Heat first 3 ingredients in small saucepan to low boil, Reduce heat and cook for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat add vanilla and let cool. Drizzle over your favorite frosting.

I think these cupcake collars and googly eyes are just darling! A broken piece of Flipz makes the perfect crooked nose.

Hey even my own scary monster couldn't resist an early taste of this yummy goodie table!

Hope you all are enjoying a great start to your week!!!

XO

Product Review: Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste Toothbursh and Mouthwash

Hi everyone and Happy Tuesday to you all!
Today I'd like to share with you a review on a few products by Arm & Hammer. Arm & Hammer is a name which I have been familiar with my entire life, however to be honest I have never tried any of their oral hygiene products. Then I was given the opportunity by Smiley 360 to test Arm & Hammer's new product line #TrulyRadiant which promises a whiter smile in just 5 days.

I received by mail a Truly Radiant oral care kit which included a spinbrush, whitening toothpaste and their whitening and strengthening mouth rinse. I used the products for 5 days doing my regular 3 to 4 brushings per day.

The Rejuvenating Toothpaste
Features crisp mint flavor, whitens teeth and strengthens, cleans and repair tooth enamel.

The toothpaste is one product I would definitely purchase again. I liked the amount of mint flavor of the toothpaste and the fact that my mouth really felt fresh and clean after brushing. I also thought it had just the right amount of foaming action while I was brushing my teeth. I kind of expected maybe somewhat of a gritty texture since I know the product contains baking soda, but that was not the case. There was no difference in texture as compared to other toothpastes I have used in the past.

The Spinbrush
Features both manual rotating and elongated bristles to help blast away plaque and clean hard-to-reach places.

I did like the toothbrush for two very distinct reasons. Number one I like the fact that the brush's bristles are a little bit longer than the regular toothbrush I typically get from the dentist. And number two I really liked the firmness of the brush. It felt like it was cleaning my teeth as opposed to some brushes that are too soft and feel like they are just wiping over my teeth. Or in the case of too firm a brush which ends up causing my gums to bleed. As far as the spin action I couldn't really feel it or see it, so it is hard to say if it made any difference in being an extra feature to the toothbrush.

The Whitening and Strengthening Mouthwash
Designed to whiten teeth, strengthen enamel and prevent stains without alcohol or peroxide.

The mouthwash was nice but it didn't leave a sensation in my mouth quite as refreshing as the toothpaste, but it did last for awhile longer than other washes I have used. And I do like the fact that it is both alcohol and hydrogen peroxide free.

Overall Opinion
After using the Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant products for 5 days I did feel as if my smile had brightened up. I have had my teeth professionally whitened in the past and I feel that out of all the other OTC (over-the-counter) teeth brightening products I have used, the Arm & Hamer Truly Radiant line of products overall produced the best results.
