Looky What I Found ~ Patio Serving Cart

While out driving around looking for garage sales this past Saturday, I found this serving cart on the front lawn of some one's home with a "Free" sign on it. The shape is pretty cool and the fact that is has glass shelves makes the cart seem less heavy so I can place it anywhere on my back porch.

All I did was sand down the spots where it had occasional rust, then I wiped the whole thing down and let it dry completely before spray painting it black.

So now I have a new bar area for cocktail parties on the patio! And the best part is that since it was a freebie the only cost to me was less than the price of one can of RustOleum spray paint.

Hey and how does my sale Walmart plastic ware look on the newly painted serving cart?

Love it!!

The Sunshine Award and Recent Features!

OMGosh this has been such a crazy busy time for me and our little family. We literally have spent the last 4 weeks vacationing all over the place from Florida to the Jersey shore and have to tell you that head is still reeling. Not to mention the fact that I am currently under about 10 loads of laundry at this point!

But I must give a few shouts out of thanks to some of my fellow bloggers.

First of all let me say thank you to two bloggers who felt that 21 Rosemary Lane was worthy of the lovely Sunshine Award. I have been blessed to be nominated for this award not only once but twice in the past month.

The adorable blog Apples and Peanut Butter nominated 21 Rosemary Lane back on June 6th and then just last week, on June 30th, Garage Sales R Us (love that name!) gave the nod.

The Sunshine Award is given from bloggers to bloggers. It's for a blogger "who positively and creatively inspires others in the blogosphere."

In addition to the Sunshine Award, 21 Rosemary Lane has been featured at 3 different linky parties over the past 3 weeks.

On June 12 my "Beautiful ReStore Finds" post was featured over at one of the hugely popular blogs Coastal Charm.

Time in Cape May ~ New Jersey

Time in quaint Cape May is time spent immersed in the Victorian era.

From the beaches, hotels and summer cottages...

...to the gorgeous homes and local trolley cars...

Cape May is a slice of a much simpler time.

A time to relax and take things slowly...

...to stop and marvel at the architecture and beautiful hydrangeas.

Where all you need to do on a summer day's late afternoon is to take a leisurely stroll down one of it's beautifully tree lined streets...

...or sit and listen to the big brass band play their wonderful old-time tunes...

...and watch little girls dance around to the music.

There is time to enjoy the beach just as night falls...

...and take in the spectacular fireworks!

This is what time is like in this quaint Victorian coastal town.

4th of July ~ The Jersey Shore

The other day we took the kids down to the Wildwoods beach...the sun was hot and the surf was calm. The water temps were in the low 70's...a perfect day at the beach!!!
