Charleston South Carolina is simply nothing less than captivating. The historic homes, the gorgeous gardens, the fabulous wrought iron which seems to encompass the whole area of the old city, is just breathtaking. Although we only spent a few short hours here in beautiful Charleston, I know that this is a place I would soon love to revisit.
And how could you visit Charleston without checking out the view of Fort Sumter, the birthplace of the Civil War.
We loved our time spent in South Carolina and now we are on our way to sunny Florida to visit with my parents for a week. Then we'll head to the peach state for the Haven Conference in the fabulous city of Atlanta.

Beautiful tour of Charleston. I'm southern and it's one of my favorite places. I bet you ate some fantastic seafood while you were there too.

I picked a cruise last winter based solely on the facts that it started in Charleston and went to some warm places---even thought it was on Carnival! I had visited the city previously, but I wanted to share it with my husband. We enjoyed walking around the city itself and we had a chance to visit the Magnolia Plantation outside of town. I'm probably too Yankeefied to ever live there, but it sure is a nice place to visit.
