The Classic Look of Window Boxes Filled with Geraniums


To me bright red geraniums are nothing short of classic. They are so cheerful with their dark and light green leaves.



This year I decided to replace my coconut husk window baskets with new redwood boxes. Then I filled them with geraniums, sweet potato vines, and variegated vinca vines. Geraniums love morning sun, afternoon shade and good drainage.



I am very happy with the simple and classic look of both the new boxes and their fill.

    Your window boxes look so pretty, Barbara! I always plant geraniums, too, they just say "summer" to me. This year I want to plant something between them like white allysum or lobelia. Yes, I'm way behind on my gardening!!~

    Geraniums are my absolute very favorite! Our lot is too sunny and hot for geraniums but there's a house in town that has them everywhere! They are dreamy!

    Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles?
    I mean, what you say is important and everything.
    But imagine if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more,
    "pop"! Your content is excellent but with pics and clips, this website could definitely be one of the greatest in its niche.
