In my previous post I shared with you the beautiful Village of Skaneateles which is perched on one of New York's smaller Finger Lakes. (Click here to see post.) Now I am going to take your for a little walk up the town's main street, Genesee Street, and show you some of the magnificent homes and sweet bungalows which lie just beyond the sidewalks of this quaint little lakeside village.
Better put your walking shoes on!!!
Better put your walking shoes on!!!
This first home, with its 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and just under 5400 square feet of living space, you can actually rent for a cool $5000/month. It is spectacular to say the least!!!
Gosh don't you just love the detailed architecture of these older homes?
And aren't these front and side porches to die for?
As you can probably tell theses first few homes are lakeside properties with simply exquisite views!!!
Now we will cross the street where there are more spectacular homes and darling bungalows.
I love these next two homes...so charming!
This arched doorway totally caught my eye!!!
Lets meander a little further down Genesee street back towards town.
In this next building you can purchase a 2 bedroom 2 bath first floor condo, with a lake view, for only $699,000!
Just look at the fabulous front yard garden...
...and the amazing detail of this wrought iron fence. This home was built in 1813, before the village of Skaneateles was founded.
To the left of this unbelievable condominium complex was a darling shop called the "Chestnut Cottage". Although we didn't go in I knew I had to share with your this amazing front portico and wreath.
And last but certainly not least, here is a building which is situated on the opposite side of the lake. I used my big lens to capture this photo, I wish I was able to get even closer.
I'm not sure if it is a B&B, Inn, restaurant, a combination of Inn and restaurant, or a private home, but one thing is for sure, it certainly is massive!
So which house was your favorite???
It's O.K. to have more than one...I certainly do!!!
Wishing you a great week!!!
XO

How could you walk by the Chestnut Cottage and not go in? It's the cutest gift shop with so many lovely Christmas ornaments! We were there a few weeks ago and we went to the Lavender Farm - have you been there? We take the dinner cruise each summer - that's a fun take! Skaneateles Lake is such a beautiful area - are you from that area?
