A few years ago I met my friend Colene for lunch with the kids. We actually went to hang out in a local airfield which has all kinds of private planes and helicopters landing on a most regular basis.
Pretty cool right??
Anyhow she got out of her car, and knowing that I paint furniture for my home, handed me this little table she had rescued from the side of the road....
...and it has been living in our basement ever since. As part of my bedroom makeover I wanted to create a little reading nook for mama, so up from the basement came the little table to see if it would be making it's debut in our master bedroom.
I did nothing fancy, just roughly sanded it down and sprayed on a couple coats of almond colored spray paint. Then it was distressed with a number 60 grit sandpaper.
If you remember, the bench at the end of the bed in the House Beautiful room was somewhat on the chippy side. I originally planned on making a bench for my room from an old coffee table I have in the basement. But after I rearranged the furniture there was no room to place a bench, so this little table is my interpretation of the chippy furniture element in the designer room.
I went ahead and created a floral arrangement to place on top to make it look pretty.
The chair I swiped out of Grace's room...she was using it as a closet anyway.
Mr. Rosemary Lane is putting up the crown molding as I write this so hopefully I will be posting my master bedroom reveal shortly. I just can't wait to show you the finished project. Despite the fact that it is a dreary damp day outside, my bedroom is so cheerful that it makes me forget it is only the beginning of April!
Wishing you a supercalafragilistic....well you know the rest...of a DAY!
XO

Very pretty! I'm looking at some of my furniture I'd like to paint. But I'm only half adept with even a can of spray paint, so don't know if I'll tackle them or not.
