Spring Time Favorite Thing ~ A Roadside Find

Spring has finally sprung here in the northeast and with this most glorious season comes one of my very favorite things to do...get outside and start working on a furniture project or two. After being all cooped up in the colder months it just does my heart good to soak in the sun and strip down or repaint a piece of furniture. Today while running a few errands, I came across this sweet piece just sitting by the side of the road.

As you can see it is a corner piece and apparently someone at some point tried give this little gem a distressed look. Most likely she was put out on the curb because, well let's face it and call a spade a spade, the paint job just ain't that good!

But she has wonderful curves, is solid wood, and the drawers are in perfect working order. So for me that makes her a keeper!

Now I just have to decide what direction to go in with this old French Provincial cutie.

What look would you giver her? And what would you use her for...a corner end table, TV stand or possibly a corner night table? Would love to know your thoughts.
Well whatever she is, I think she is simply darling!

Wishing you all a fabulous Easter week!

XO

  1. I can see this being a cute little bar cart in the corner of the dining room and/or family room. Never seen one like this, so that makes it extra special to have some fun with.

  7. Barbara, that is such a delightful find. I have only ever found one thing on the side of the curb. It has great lines. Does it sort of match Grace's desk that you just redid? I bet you will think of a special way to give her a new life and she will be the better for it..Happy Tuesday..xxoJudy
