We have this lovely screened in porch off the back of our home and even though the air has already begun to get a chill, I still can't help but want to dine Al Fresco on a sunny autumn afternoon.
For this table setting I decided to forgo a tablecloth and simply use a runner and wicker place mats to cover the wrought iron table. Then I made good use of a portion of the twenty pounds of apples my kids picked last weekend at a local apple orchard. The organic feel of the apples and wicker is contrasted with crystal stemware and candle holders along with a little bling from both the flatware and shiny silver chargers.

So beautiful and appetizing! You are lucky I live so far away (but coming back soon... you'd better be careful about what you post!)

Is that Royal Copenhagen china? I love that pattern. Your table looks very inviting!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful al fresco table, Barbara...it is getting too cold here to eat outside!
ReplyDeleteOh my noooo I wish it it was Royal Coppenhagen. It does resemble it though! I purchased this 40 piece place setting 25 years ago for all of $20. The manufactuer is Myott in Staffordshire England and the pattern is Finlandia. I have always loved these dishes. Thank you very much both Barb and Casa de Luna for your compliments!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! Thanks for sharing,Joann
