Christmas Mantel 2012

Well here we are again, another Christmas season with all of its beauty and grander. I love Christmas because I am a fanatic about decorating for this wonderful holiday. This year I really want to stick to a natural theme, using as many items as possible from our yard to create a cozy home feel. I decided to start with my Christmas mantel.

I used all greens from the yard and placed them in 3 plastic containers of which I filled with blocks of floral foam.

I had some sprayed white twigs from an arrangement I created last year, so I added them for contrast and interest. I also used some faux berries and hydrangea.

I finished off the mantel with some white lights and hurricane globes over two silver candle holders. The kids were so excited to see their stockings hanging with care, waiting for dear old St. Nick to fill them. To tell you the truth I was a wee bit excited too!!!

Is your mantel dressed for the holidays??? What do you do to make it sparkle??
Love to know!!!
