...apples 50 cents a BUCKET (two galvanized buckets from Home Goods)

The other day while strolling one of through my favorite places, Home Goods, I spotted an adorably stenciled galvanized bucket tucked in with the fall decor. Well I had just read StoneGable's post Fall Around the Kitchen, where Yvonne had filled two beautiful galvanized buckets with mums. They looked so lovely and rustic sitting on her kitchen island that when I saw this bucket in Home Goods I thought perfect...and grabbed the last two the store had.

The buckets were $12.99 each, not a bad price, but I fell in love with them and just had to bring 'em on home.

So I filled them with mums from the grocery store and then decided to create a little outdoor vignette in the back yard.

I probably won't leave them outside for very long since the little (and big) critters who live around Rosemary Lane will inevitably discover the mums along with the pumpkins and apples, and decide to make a meal of my pretty setting!

But the buckets have unlimited potential around MY kitchen, and extra decorative containers for storage are always a plus for me!!!

Wishing a great start to the new week!

XO

  1. I have the exact bucket (same price) from Marshall's. I also have mums in it, but on my front porch. I did not need the bucket, but I am a red girl and I loved it so I bought it. I know it will be in lots of vignettes around the house year round.

  8. The buckets look charming filled with the mums sitting on the wooden chair with the gourds. Great fall display! You are very wise to move them away from the critters. The racoons came up onto my patio and ate the dried corn off of my cornstalks a couple of days ago. Needless to say they destroyed my fall display!
