As many of us bloggers do, every year I try to switch up our Christmas mantel. (God forbid I have the same mantelscape 2 years in a row!) So out came a few of my old special addition holiday magazines...I can't bare to toss them out...just to peruse once more through some of their beautifully decorated rooms. This year I found myself drawn to more earthy or woodsy Christmas images and thus was born our 2013 Christmas mantel.
How is your holiday decorating going?

Hi Barbara,
ReplyDeleteI feel like I've just been walking in THE winter wonderland of the famous Christmas carol! Your mantel, will I'm sure, now be an inspiration for all who see IT! You've incorporated all of my favourite colours, so anything you would have done with that would have been pleasing to me. But, it's your amazing attention to detail in this gorgeous scene, that has me glued to the screen!
Thanks for sharing the loveliness, (and keeping those pretty magazines)!
Merry Christmas!
Poppy

ReplyDeleteOh, I like. That mantel is gorgeous. I like all the traditional colors and the little house. Merry Christmas!

ReplyDeleteLost my comment- darn it! Anyway, I said that I LOVE this mantle. I think it is my favorite I have seen anywhere. I love the whimsical little houses and your tree is gorgeous, too! Beautiful, Barbara, Beautiful!!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, I miss having a mantel. In this home we have a fire place for which I am grateful(I love fires) but no mantel.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous....I love what you did. I am so jealous....I'd love to have a fireplace to decorate. You did a wonderful job!
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is lovely, certainly worthy of a magazine. My decorating has been minimal this year. I finally got the tree up, and have one, count-em...one, other decoration. This morning I got up to find that the lights on the tree do not work. They worked when I went to bed last night but not this morning. It's starting to look a lot like a minimal Christmas. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh how gorgeous! I really love that little stone house, what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done!
