Hello to everyone of you, my bloggy friends!
I hope all is well.
Today I am sharing with you another element I have found for my bedroom makeover and it is this gorgeous pineapple lamp. Actually lamps! Yes I bought 2 lamps for the bedroom, however there is only one problem...the lampshades don't match. I know this isn't an ideal situation with regard to my budget, but I REALLY L O V E D these lamps. Oh and the price...$30 each. So to keep my cost low I used the money my very sweet Aunt Ann gave me as a gift for Christmas. That helped me to get my final coast all the way down to only $5 per lamp!
If you remember, the white lamp in the inspiration room looked like this...
When I found these lamps at Home Goods I loved the fact that there was a design on the lamp itself.
And while I am digging on the white linen looking shade of the first lamp, I am not so crazy about the large oval drum lampshade in the oatmeal color on the second one.
The lighter square shaped shade, to me anyway, is far more attractive.
So now the search begins to find a square white linen shade that is somewhat close to this one.
Wish me luck and have a great day!!!!
XO
You nailed it on those lamps. I at first liked the shade and then, thought it might look a bit heavy. You got some awesome lamps for that deal. Can't wait to see the rest. Stay warm
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a lamp like that and it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, these lamps are awesome! Love the square shade! You might try Lamps Plus for another shade. I always find my replacements there.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, beautiful lamps. I have missed your first posts about the bedroom so will be going back to see them. I agree with you about the white shade. I was able to find the perfect shade for the library lamp on Home Decorators.com. They have a large selection of everything at pretty reasonable prices. It is going to be so pretty and I'm anxious to see what you are planning. What a great Valentines table for two set up. I think I will pin that one..Happy Friday..Judy
ReplyDeleteBarbara what I would do is take the one lamp with the shade you don't like back to Home Goods and show them a picture of the other lamp shade and maybe they'll let you switch out shades. If you look closely in the lamp dept., I think you might just find the shade you like on another lamp. Or, go to another Home Goods store and see if they have the lamp w/shade that you want.
ReplyDeleteLoving the lamp, and you master bedroom is really coming together! I do like the square shade, just has so much more character! Can't to see it all pulled together. As always, thanks for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best
ReplyDeleteI like the square shade. It's a beautiful lamp. You should have Home Goods check their other stores to find you another matching lampshade.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting blog. Alot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that I'm interested in, but I'm most definately interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know. http://excellentathome.com
