Fairy Tale Dream Home Tour

Has there ever been a house you may have seen in a magazine or described in a book, on TV or in a movie, while traveling on vacation, or even a house which may actually be located in your own neighborhood, where you may have thought..."That could quite possibly be my dream home?"

For me that home is known as "Creek House" and ironically enough it sits only about 2 1/2 miles away from 21 Rosemary Lane. I admittedly have been in love with this house since we moved here almost 12 years ago. It is the type of home which makes passers by want to slow down their cars, joggers take on a little slower pace, and even make others want to snap a few pictures with their cell phones. It is a majestic cottage which has a fairy tale quality and seems to be able to capture one's imagination.

Over the last year the home has been on and off the R.E. market and as of the past week or so it has been re-listed by Weichert Realtors. I just had to go on-line to check out this amazingly stunning home and let me tell you...it is nothing short of breathtaking! So grab a cup of joe or your favorite wine depending on the time of day you are taking this tour, go to your most comfy sitting spot, as I share the beautiful images and the splendor of  "Creek House".

"One of Tewksbury's most picturesque properties is newly available, historic "Creek House" aptly set on the banks of  the Rockaway Creek is a completely captivating country home. Fairy Tale architecture and magical gardens combine this circa 1800 home filled with Old World details and 21st century updates. Set on 5.87 glorious acres with a thatched roof quest cottage, sweeping green lawns, a profusion of colorful gardens, towering trees, a bluestone patio and stone walls, the home is approached just beyond a bridge spanning the Rockaway Creek. The property offers a total of five bedrooms and 5 1/2 baths."

Enchanting isn't it?? I love the exposed stone of the interior coupled with all of the wood wallsThe number of pained windows in every living space allows the brilliant sunlight to just flood into each room.

The asking price for this fairy tale abode...well that would be a cool $1.4 million.

Whataythink? Are you in the market???

Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of this wonderful Sunday!!!

  1. Oh- I love it...and if YOU buy it I was wondering if I could come live in the guest house? I would, of course, pay rent! lol How fun to be able to see the inside of the house you have been dreaming about? Do you love it as much now that you have seen the inside as you did before looking at it from the outside? It is actually brighter and airier feeling than I would have thought...and I like that! xo Diana

  2. Very pretty! But I wouldn't want to pay the electric bills on that huge house.
