The Desk Area ~ Master Bedroom Makeover

So as you know I am doing a little transformation to the newly rearranged right side of the bed.  Last week I cleaned up a yard sale find and brought it up to the master bedroom to be placed next to Mr. RL's side of the bed. The piece now doubles as both a nightstand and desk area.

The chair I picked up this week at Home Goods for $64.99. It was the perfect size and price for my desk. I like the somewhat contemporary look of the vinyl which is a bit out of my comfort zone. But the idea of blending the traditional desk with something more sleek really appeals to me.

I also added a few family photos above the desk along with a Walmart lamp base and a crisp new white linen shade. 

The wood of the desk is so pretty too.

And now I have a lovely functional space to read, write or even work on my laptop!
