Well I decided to carry the look on to my already existing end tables in the living room. These tables were another garage sale casualty I got for free from a good friend a few years back.
I painted the base black and the top in an almond color. Then by hand I gold leafed the perimeter of the top and followed the groves on the sides and the drawer with the gold. I think they came out rather pretty.
Do you want to know what they looked like originally?
Here is one more look at the final product...
I definitely like the new look better!!
Now I am going to have to try to find a coordinating coffee table and I may just switch up the living room color scheme a little to show off my new French look!
I love the tables. Solo loop carefully done! Bravo!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, They are absolutely lovely! Wow!

Love your French end tables. I bought a chest of drawers painted black with cream trim (bad paint job). I was debating whether to repaint it white, but after seeing your tables, I am going to repaint it black and cream. So frenchy!
ReplyDeleteAmazing what a little bit of paint can do, these are french-fabulous :)
