Recently I entered a tablescape contest sponsored by Home Goods. The challenge was to create a beautiful table setting to celebrate either a fall or winter holiday. Each entry was to be judged based on style, affordability and creativity. The judges are from 4 very popular decorating blogs and yesterday they announced the winner over at Censational Girl. The winning tablescape came from the beautiful blog Sweet Something Designs by Michelle, and I have to tell you that I think this table setting is a complete knockout.

To me this is very reminiscent of one of my favorite designers Ralph Lauren. It is so classic and yet simplistic, incorporating natural elements with viabrant color. And can you believe that the tablecloth is actually a blanket?
