P is for Pinterest?

I can't help it...I grew up in a town adjacent to the city of brotherly love, and our baseball team is the Phillies!

So every time I see the logo for Pinterest

I can't help but to think of this...

The logo for the Philadelphia Phillies!

The Philadelphia Phillies are the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional American sports, dating all the way back to 1883. The original name for the team in the 1800's was the Quakers, this was then changed in 1883 to the Philadelphians and subsequently shortened to the Phillies.

The main rival for the Phillies are the NY Mets and it is said to be one of the hottest rivalries in professional baseball.
(Mr. Rosemary Lane  is a staunch Mets fan.)

The mascot for the Phillies is the ever so funny Phillies Phantatic. He was introduced to the Philadelphia fans in April of 1978. The creation of the Phantaic has ties with Muppet's creator Jim Hensen. (I can totally get that!)

And now there is another Phillie phan who has been showing up at the Phillie games since 2010...it is the oh so lovable
Rally the Rally Towel!

Rally has also been a friend of mine since grade school. Take a look at her dance in the dugout with the Phillie Phantatic!

The holiday weekend is almost here...have a great day!!!
