According to Wikipedia...
Turquoise /ˈtɜrkɔɪz/ or /ˈtɜrkwɔɪz/ is the name of a greenish blue color, based on the gem of the same name. The word turquoise comes from the French for Turkish, as the gem was originally imported from Turkey. The first recorded use of turquoise as a color name in English was in 1573.
Feeling a little turquoise inspired???

ReplyDeleteYes I'm turquoise inspired these days. I've been loving it for a couple of years but am just now really getting the nerve to add it in to our main living area. We have lots of it upstairs. :) Your pictures are beautiful...I'd love to be in that beautiful blue water. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, Barbara! Turquoise is such a cool, relaxing color. Yes, it is perfect for Summer; and I love that necklace on Eva Mendes. You pinned some great images.

ReplyDeleteBarbara, I love the color too. And you found some beautiful renditions of it on Pinterest. I pinned that great lamp. I've been wanting to do something with paint on a lampbase so my eyes are peeled at the thrift shops. That's a really beautiful one..Happy Wednesday..Judy
