Finding Holiday Inspiration

It's funny, for some reason this year I am really excited to start decking the halls for Christmas, however I promised myself that I would wait until after Thanksgiving. So in an effort to find new inspiration, I picked up the December issue of  Victoria magazine to look for a few holiday decorating ideas. Needless to say I found tons of inspiration...take a look at these beautifully decorated rooms along with some wonderful decor ideas!

Look at this fabulous tree!

I love this next room...the fireplace mantle is adorned with a simple yet full garland, and is beautifully lit with candles of varying heights. My fireplace also is flanked by bookshelves...getting some great ideas from this room. It looks sooo cozy don't you think?

This is such a natural looking vignette decorated with pine cones, greens and sticks from the yard. I think this idea would work perfect for atop my living room piano.

How about this charming green sled with plaid bow and greens? I have an old sled down in our basement and I'm thinking my Antibes Green chalk paint would do the trick in helping to recreate Victoria's darling sled. This just may end up as a copycat project. Look out Debbie of Debbiedoo's with your next copycat challenge!!

I also love how the bay window with a seat below has only a single wreath to add a festive holiday touch. I have a bay window with a window seat...mmmm.

And who doesn't adore a holiday table all decked out in vibrant red?

I love this next idea...it is so simple yet so beautiful! A galvanized bucket with assorted greens and berries sitting on a porch step.

This stunning dining room is brought up to holiday speed as greens are placed above the room's artwork, and berries with more greens are used to add a splash of Christmas cheer to the dining table.

So how about the inspiration from Victoria Magazine? Have you started to formulate some new decorating ideas for this year yet? Maybe you found a few here...I sure hope so!

Wishing you a great end to your week and one fabu weekend!
XO

  3. These pictures DID give me some inspiration! I love the mantel with the evergreens and candles...very simple and pretty. I also love the evergreen garland draped over the picture above the mantel. I have a mirror over mine but it would work.

    Thanks so much, Barbara!

  4. I adore the fireplace photo with the book cases flanking it. I would love to have a living room like that. I went to two craft fairs in NJ this past Sat. Lambert's Castle in Paterson and The Hermitage in HoHoKus. They usually inspire me, but it didn't work this year. :( xo
