Now as you may have noticed, I don't post a lot in the way of crafts...I love painting and decorating however am not necessarily a "crafty" gal. But for some reason I have been wanting to make something using paper materials for Valentine's day. I found this pretty paper at the craft supply store...(and just what was I doing in a craft supply store if I am not a crafty person you may ask?) and I bought it not knowing what I was going to do with it. So last night I was poking around the Internet looking for ideas and I absolutely fell in love with many of the paper garland projects I found. Unfortunately for many of these crafts, I just didn't have the right supplies in the house...why? Because I am not a crafty person!!! So I decided to use what I did have and I came up with this idea for making paper garland ...
Here is the tutorial...super easy I must say!
First slice two strips of paper one inch in width, one solid and one printed. The solid paper is simple construction paper.
(I had to call Gracie into the kitchen for these next two shots...thank you sweetie!)
Put a line of craft glue on one of the strips of paper.
Glue the two pieces together and press to seal.
Fold to form a "V".
Bring the top two pieces together to form a heat shape and then staple together.
Using a hole puncher punch one hole on each side of the heart.
Tie a knot in the string and then thread the heart through, then tie another knot on the second side of the heart ,then repeat for each heart you've made.
And that's it...you're done!
Have Fun!!!
Thank you!
